I love making comics and teaching others how to make their own. Lately, this experience has been so gratifying that I’ve decided to step it up a notch with workshops and tutorials.

The easiest way to get started is with my guide, “How To Make a Mini-Comic” freely downloadable, which you can print at home and fold yourself.

A comic that you can print out on your own printer and fold. The comic shows 8 panels, which make up the 8 pages of the final comic. The comic is called "How To Make A Mini Comic" and each page teaches the user how to fold the final comic.

It’s copyright-free, so you can print it out and distribute it however you wish. It started off as part of my Make 100 Sets of Mini-Comics challenge.

If you try it out and decide to make some on your own, I’d love to see them! I’m @docpop on Twitter and Instagram. If you are willing to help translate them, I’d love that too!

Want some encouragement? Here’s my friend Audrey talking about her first mini-comic:

And here’s some more from a recent workshop in Chicago:

If you’d like to run a workshop yourself, hit me up. I’m in SF, but might be able to send you prints (if the shipping isn’t too expensive).
